“The most remarkable virtuoso in the relatively un-chronicled history of his instrument.”- The New Yorker

In demand as a performer and a composer, Edgar Meyer has formed a role in the music world unlike any other. From his MacArthur Award and Avery Fisher Prize to his seven Grammy Awards, including two for his 2023 album As We Speak with Béla Fleck, Zakir Hussain, and Rakesh Chaurasia, Meyer’s musical legacy is unmatched. His musical collaborations are a who’s-who list of legends like Chris Thile, Joshua Bell, Yo-Yo Ma, and Emanuel Ax. In the coming year, his new trio with violinist Tessa Lark and cellist Joshua Roman will tour the US, showcasing both his classic 1980s string trios and a newly-commissioned work.
